DINO & RAY CHARLES
Branson Gospel Music Revival w/ Emma Carter

Today has most definitely been the most fun so far. It's been a day full of laughter! This morning we had chapel, and Mrs. Sue Duffield spoke to us about connecting with our crowds even after the concert or service. She's really funny and I enjoyed what she said so much! After chapel the people participating in the New Faces Showcase, taking place tomorrow at one o'clock, had a rehearsal. It was so much fun!

I went into the auditorium to listen to the singing quite a bit this evening. I happened to be sitting in there when Mike Powell came on the platform to sing. He was so funny! He sang “Amazing Grace” to many different tunes, which turned out be more entertaining than you would think. Another artist I enjoyed was Allen Asbury. I had never heard him before, but his voice is incredible!

The very last person to come on tonight was of course, Dino. Dino is always a pleasure to watch! I especially love to hear him play Classical Tunes. He really inspires me to practice piano more. I was standing in front of the registration booth, which is on the opposite side of the building from the stage, holding my god-sister Kaity, when I got a text from my mom that said "Ray Charles is on stage NOW. Legend!!!"

So of course I swooped up Kaity and we started "bookin' it" to back stage so I could grab my camera. I'm pretty sure I ran close to 78 miles per hour. When I finally parked myself right in front of the stage with my camera, it finally sunk in that it was the real Ray Charles! I snapped around 15 or 20 pictures then, I sat back to listen. All of a sudden I get another text from my mom saying, "Ok. Not the real Ray Charles :)". Isn't that just great? I got some pretty good pictures though, and it makes for a great memory!

My brother and I sang tonight as well. We sang a song called "Mercy and Grace", and tomorrow we will be participating in a lot of things! I'll be sure to fill you in on all that happens. Don't forget to check back right here for more exciting and fun things happening at Branson Gospel Music Revival!
