For someone interested in horticulture or zoology, the Ozarks is a pretty fascinating place. And as a current non-Ozarkian, even something as commonplace as a blue-tailed skink or a desert-like glade can be downright exciting.

Consequently, the Plants & Animals of the Hills section of State of the Ozarks is something I am quite excited about. There is a
feel to the region that deserves a special place online.
