(April 27, 2008)

With recent rains, Lake Taneycomo is again up as the floodgates on Tablerock Dam are running.

Plummer Family Received Warmly!
(May 4, 2008)

The Plummer Family show reunited for a single, exceptionally well-produced, show on Saturday, May 3.

The family's warmth, talent, and ability to surround themselves with great-quality musicians and vocalists shown through.

Josh Driskill, grandson to Rosie and Darrell and nephew to Randy, wowed the audience with his renditions of songs such as Long Black Train and Ring of Fire.

Harley Clements was in attendance and performed several songs.

Longtime member of the Plummer Family Show, Colleen Kay Moore performed a number of top songs, allowing her exceptional vocal range and power to shine through.

Randy Plummer received a standing ovation to his performance of Angel Wings, a self-penned composition that recently went number one on RadioActiveAirplay (.com).

Grand Country Radio Night To Remember
(May 4, 2008)

Branson Country USA, the radio show broadcast at the Grand Country Square and hosted by Mike Patrick and Jamie Haage, produced a night to remember.

Called "founder's night" by Haage, the evening's top guests were the venerable Foggy River Boys and the Plummer Family.

Both groups were instrumental in creating the show-business boom that developed Branson.

Bluegrass Comin' To Branson
(April 27, 2008)

A new show is coming to the IMAX Complex and this time it's all bluegrass-gospel.

Jim Glaspy, flat-top guitar champion of Texas, has teamed with wife Karina and other family members to create a unique bluegrass-gospel show.

The show, which is produced by James Garrett, will open in mid-May in the Little Opry Theater located within the IMAX Complex (on Shepherd of the Hills Expressway).

Louis Darby Working On New Release
(April 20, 2008)

Louis Darby, two-time Louisiana fiddle champion, is hard at work developing a new album due for release this spring.

Darby, who performed many years with Cedric Benoit's Cajun Connection, may be found playing with the Horn family (Circle B Chuckwagon near the Branson Variety Theater just off Highway 76).

Darby is working closely with fellow performer and Sons of the Pioneers history buff, John Fullerton.
Success at the Little Opry Theatre
(April 27, 2008)

Back in January of 2007, a new sort of show started in Branson.

Located in the intimate, 210-seat Little Opry Theater in the IMAX Complex, A Tribute To John Denver and Country Music Legends began.

Headed up by former bandmember and lead vocalist of The Kendalls, James Garrett, the show was a step back in time to the earlier entertainment days of Branson.

Flashy, expensive production was out. Top-notch acoustical performances and excellent stage presence were in.

Garrett, strongly supported by Paul and Ann Bluto, owners of the IMAX Complex, gathered around him an experienced team of great Branson talent.

His lineup included Randy Plummer, Rick Quincey, C.J. Newsome, Casey Means, Randy Rudd, and Lori Locke.

The show began slowly in January of '07, but through word of mouth gained extraordinary momentum, winning the Branson Critic Morning Show of the Year Award.

Garrett continues to push forward, having now begun a second show based on the same formula: Strait Country, A Tribute to George Strait.

Current showtimes at the Little Opry Theater are 10AM for the John Denver Tribute while Strait Country plays at 5PM, Monday through Saturday.
